CloudIX: AI Document Processor

The challenge

CloudIX's finance team was manually keying data from invoices and receipts into their accounting system, a slow, error-prone process that didn't scale as document volume grew. They needed automation, but with financial data on the line, they couldn't accept a black box they had no way to verify.

What we built

We built an extraction pipeline using OpenAI's vision models to read invoices and receipts in varied formats, backed by a Python service on AWS Lambda for serverless, cost-efficient scaling. Critically, we added a human-in-the-loop React dashboard so any extraction below a confidence threshold gets flagged for quick manual review instead of silently entering bad data into the books.

That review layer was the difference between a demo and a system finance actually trusted enough to rely on daily.
